Rennie Phillips

I devote most of my practice to domestic relations cases, including divorce, custody, guardianships, and adoptions. I have extensive experience working as a Guardian ad litem (GAL) in contested custody cases. Although being a GAL is very challenging and a role that I do not take lightly, I love getting to know “my” kiddos and consider it an honor to be a part of their lives.

My background in domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking allows me to provide a level of advocacy unique to surviviors. I contract with Community Safety Network in Jackson as needed for protection orders or custody cases.

I divide my time between Laramie and Jackson; therefore, I take cases throughout western and southern Wyoming.

Additionally, I serve on various law-related Boards and Committees. Throughout law school I volunteered with the Access to Justice Commission to follow my passion for helping low-income and under-served populations. Most recently I was appointed to the Access to Justice 2.0 working group, which is comprised of stakeholders at all levels of the judicial system. It is an honor and exciting to continue working on efforts to increase access to the justice system for the people of Wyoming.

I love my job and helping families, but I enjoy many other activities. I travel as much as possible (near and far). I cook almost every day. I cherish time with family, friends, and my four-legged “babies”. I gave up on the idea of “work-life” balance many years ago because all of this is my life!
